Greetings to all you SAAB faithful out there! Is everyone ready for the
national convention in Hershey, Pennsylvania this weekend? You are already
zipping along the interstate in your Swede, or have a plane ticket in hand,
right? For any last minute details, you can visit the 2003 SAAB Owner's

what's the deal? Is everyone resting on their laurels after we won last
years attendance challenge with the folks from Iowa? Anyone recall what
the booty was and where it went anyway??
This
month's meeting will bring us the pleasure of hearing from our friend Ray
Middleton and his painter buddy Ron Mahle, both of Fairey Firefly
fame. They will be sharing stories of the Firefly, unique cars that
have been refurbished, and the ongoing restoration of the Seafire. There
will also be a show and tell of the fun SAAB stories we've had over the
summer, and there will even be a unique SAAB clock available for your
inspection. For next month, our guest speaker will be a kindly
police officer who will be offering up some stories and advice on speeding
tickets and other moving violations. We will also be having a slide show
and recap of this year's SAAB Owner's Convention in Hershey, Pennsylvania in
October.

September's meeting will be held at our usual Ground Round resaurant at the
Har-Mar Mall in Roseville, MN on Snelling Ave. The meetings begin around
7:30, and be sure to show up early to kick tires and trade stories with an
eclectic array of your fellow SAAB enthusiasts.
