Hello, loyal SAAB fans! Hopefully we'll have the luck-o'-the Irish
with us this month regarding weather, as we have had an eerily quiet winter so
far here in the midwest. I would like to begin by thanking all of those
who attended Andrews free lunch and carwash Saturday, February 22nd, and
especially all of those who worked so hard to make it all happen! (You know
who you are) There were well over 30 cars that received not only a quality
hand washing, but an inside detailing as well! Meyer Garage staff, Marty
and Paul, were busy all morning assisting with test drives for all who wanted to
experience the pleasures of driving a new 9-3 sport sedan. What a great
excuse to get out and about on a sun-shiny winter day!
For this month's program,
Dean Nelson will be showing the group how to install a cool EMS steering wheel
into your classic 900! It's actually simpler than what you might think,
and you too can be the first on your block! There will also be the
opportunity for discussion on rally "B" boxes, and the upcoming "Ides of March
Rally" being held Saturday, March 15th, in Redwing. We will also be
discussing the upcoming 25th anniversary Andrews open house on June 14th, and what support the club can provide
for the day--and possible track event.
Fix-it/wash day at Meyer
Garage
Meyer Garage will be
hosting a "do-it-yourself" fix it day from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. on Saturday, March
29, at the dealership in Meyer. This will give you a warm place with acces
to a hoist to perform some minor repairs (no timing chains--please!), or just an
opportunity to inspect the undercarriage of your car without risking life and
limb with a floor jack. They will also have the wash bay open for
anyone wanting a warm place to wash and/or detail his or her car. A light
lunch will be served at noon. Please call, or email Annette if you know
you will be attending, so that lunch can be adequately planned for.
