Happy April everyone! Where is spring? Not at my house!
I would like to begin by thanking all of those who participated in the "Ides of
March" rally last Saturday the 16th. There were several teams who
had the opportunity to drive/navigated the wonderfully twisty and thrilling
roads of Goodhue county. We also had a couple crews of steadfast point
checkers to keep everyone in line. What a blast! Thanks especially
to Dean for all the extra long hours.
Membership
renewals are due again for most of us in March (last month). If you have
any questions you can email me, or I will have a hard copy list at the meeting
Thursday night. Membership has it's privileges! Receive discounts,
regular newsletters and event updates, tech tips, support the club, chew the fat
with you your fellow Saab buddies, and so
much more!
Been to the
club website lately? Go ahead and participate @ www.mnsaabclub.org.
Bruce
mentioned that there is a neat little bookstore across from O'Gara's Pub
in St. Paul with a whole bunch of automotive goodies like automotive repair
manuals. (who needs those??) See Bruce for details. Also, it's
not too late to enter MPR's SAAB give away to commemorate their 35th
anniversary. If you don't like laser red, too bad. Buy your
own. : )

Hear ye, hear
ye, I am leaving for both California and New Jersey in a week or two, in order
to pick up a rust free '71 Sonett and '85 SPG. If anyone needs anything
delivered or picked up from either coast, please let me know. I will be
able to at least deliver a vehicle to either coast, and can bring nearly any
parts back also. Will likely visit Paul Perry and Bud Clark in California,
and other Saab faithful out east. Thanks for the gas money!
Shane says we
have money in the treasury. $602.52 to be exact.
